I’ve been to many private events at this venue. Over the years the customer service and attitudes of staff and owner has deteriorated. Unless you are Caucasian, the owner treats you as second class citizen and are very rude. I went to a family event in June of this year. There were 150 plus people and it was a warm day so the room was hot. The owner had the air conditioner off. I went to ask her if the air was on and her response was that they (the hosts) didn’t pay her enough to turn the air on.
I was at a friend’s daughter’s wedding last weeekend. The owner came to the ladies’ restroom downstairs and started yelling at people to go upstairs because she was closing the downstairs! Really, she’s going to close the bathroom and have only 2 stalls upstairs for 200 plus people for the night? She said she needed to “conserve water” because some child jammed the toilet with paper towels. Funny cause that did not happen that night. I happened to be talking to a friend who rented this place in the spring. She told me the bathroom got clogged when she rented the place and she ended up having to pay half the plumbing bills!
The bartender is always rude and moody like ppl are drinking for free. Come on, if you hate your job or your customers that much, get a new job! I will not buy alcohol from the bar anymore and will not recommend families and friends rent this place. If you do rent from this place, make sure every rule is in writing and no hidden fees, especially to turn on heat or air conditioner & to have bathrooms open!
Great chicken but the food never changes for the years ive lived here and if not busy you have to wait for the food to come out for the buffet
What a terribly rude owner. I was warned about doing an event here bc of how rude the owner is but figured some people have different perspectives of others. No. Not in this case. From start to finish we were obviously in her way. The event we had, ended at 4 and by 4:10 we should have been totally cleaned up and have put away all of the tables used. We were still very obviously packing our own items up off of said tables and comments were flying that we should be helping put tables away. People stayed and helped others including the person who set up the event just for for protection that no one would get reemed alone. Do not waste your time or money.
